Faheea

Acrylic on canvas 36x36in

Abu Dhabi, August 2024

Al Faheea: “Al Faheea” (الفهية) means “the most beautiful” in Emirati culture.

I painted this piece as a tribute to the UAE—the country that has graciously welcomed me as a resident for over 15 years. It is a place of contrast and harmony, where deep tradition meets bold modernity, and this painting honors that balance.

The camel, a central figure in the heritage of the region, is dressed in desert finery: part Bedouin traveler, part stylish nomad. With its noble expression and layered textiles, Al Faheea carries the spirit of old desert wisdom while walking confidently through today’s sands.

To me, this piece is about beauty in resilience, dignity in simplicity, and elegance in culture. It is both a love letter and a thank-you—to a land that has shaped me, held me, and inspired my art.

Al Faheea stands for grace, loyalty, and the beauty of honoring your roots while exploring new horizons.
