Newton

Newton is the quiet force next to Winston—the second piece in a duo envisaged for a cigar room, man cave, or library.
While Winston is all about presence, Newton carries poise. He’s painted with the same warm palette and textile-rich approach, but there’s something more introspective about him. He feels like the thinker of the two. Still strong, still stylish, but with a glint of contemplation in his eyes.
This was also an early experiment in capturing the tactile feel of clothing—mixing the softness of fur with the structured formality of fabric. I played with symmetry and color to ensure he complemented Winston, but stood on his own as a character.
The name Newton gives a nod to intellect, to old English society, and to classicism. It matches the tone of the space they were created for—a room full of wood, leather, and books.
To me, Newton is presence without pretence. The kind of portrait that looks back at you with quiet strength, and maybe a few well-earned secrets.
