Winston

Acrylic on canvas 24x36in

Abu Dhabi, February 2025

Winston was inspired by my life partner and soulmate—a portrait designed to belong in a cigar room, a man cave of stories, laughter, and quiet strength.

This was one of my earliest explorations with painting fabric and fur textures. I wanted to capture not just the image of a bull, but the essence of refined masculinity: proud, powerful, and a little indulgent. Winston wears his coat like a heritage piece—classic, tailored, and full of history.

There’s a hint of British old-world charm in his name, and in the posture of someone who’s probably read every Churchill biography and smokes a cigar like a ritual.

The warm tones and brushwork were chosen to match Newton, his counterpart, and together they anchor any room with a sense of calm confidence.

For me, Winston represents loyalty, tradition, and elegance with grit—the kind of presence that fills a room without ever needing to speak.
